The last time the public was this negative, as shown by the AAII Bull-Bear Survey, big stocks returned 36% over the next 12 months. High beta stocks did substantially better with many a stock price going up 100% or more.

This mornings report from Hays also noted the heavy buying by company insiders, the massive corporate buybacks and how stocks are so cheap that hundreds of companies can increase their earnings by substantial amounts by "borrowing low while earning high".

Mark my words, surprisingly good news is going to surface over the next several months. Once the sentiment turns, even bad news will make the price of stocks jump!
