U.S. consumers have taken wine consumption to new heights. Per-capita wine consumption is at an all-time high with sales rising briskly. Two out of every three wine bottles sold in the U.S., including foreign producers, comes from California. The state's wine shipments to U.S. markets amounted to a retail value of $16.5 billion,or 441 million gallons.
