According to Satelite TV Verizon (VZ) joined others last week when it started selling it's internet TV service. TVOver.net discusses how lucrative the IPTV market will be.

When millions of high school football games and millions of other videos are posted on the internet--perhaps from the view point of both schools or from several parents--the total viewing of video may be more than the total viewing of network TV. It took many years for total cable viewing to pass total network viewing. The adoption rate for "free IPTV" should be very fast once it gets underway.
