INTEL IS BRINGING BROADBAND TO THE CITY!

Intel, cities align on municipal networks

BROADBAND WIRELESS--IT'S EVERYWHERE IT'S EVERWHERE!

I hope my Old Merrill Pal sees this blog. He noted long ago that citizens are being well served when cities offer city wide wireless broadband. I recently reported about the horrible service one often encounters at Time Warner Cable. Who needs a monopoly? I am ready for telecom--cable deregulation. The good news is that WIMAX is going to make the "content hoarders" think twice.

Change is often bigger than the Niagara Waterfall or the tides of the ocean. A kid with a sand bucket can try to hold off the tide but his sandcastle is doomed. Time Warner has the content to make a fortune; the company is learning how to make it available over the internet. Monopoly land line telephones and monopoly cable service is in a fight with the waters of Niagara. The change will not be soon enough.

INTC has lobbied legislatures to keep the airways open. Corpus Cristy Texas has blanketed 140,000 square miles with wireless broadband and the citizens love it. The city is benefiting from commercial growth. The build-out--super development computer phase is approaching fast. MSFT has finally started to move. Smart investors will be sure to own computer makers and internet equipment makers over the next many years.

BUY THE BULL!
