Bond Report: Treasuries tumble on news 30-year may come back - Bond Market

The build in oil and gas and the tender for GM have given the stock market a big push. For those of us who are fully invested in stocks, this move is exciting!

As always there is something else we can worry about; the long bond. Don't worry, be happy, after all Jesus said, "...do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about ...what you will wear" Matthew 6:25.

The Fed announced that it is considering issuing the 30 year bond again. The bond market has taken a hit. Stocks are soaring and bonds are taking a hit. Instead of worrying, think about what it normally means for stocks to be soaring while long interest rates are rising! The markets are forecasting stronger economic growth. The large build in oil and gas is telling traders that the price of fuel is not about to kill the golden goose. Even after 8 increases in short interest rates, the fed is being accommodative. Good news ahead for investors.
